  1. Serbia won't stay together, EU or no EU. I experienced the intense hatred in Kosovo first-hand when serving there with KFOR. We had to do our utmost to keep the ethnic factions from killing one another. A divorce is long overdue.

  3. It's not so much the US, but the former Soviet satellite states that expressed a keen interest to join NATO. Heck, even Russia contemplated such a move. I suggest you stop blaming everything on the US and start pondering why Russia's neighbours were so keen to seek NATO membership. Could it be an ingrained distrust with Russia? Be that as it may, it's as if Putin has been very helpful in showing them right.
