@TheAscension11 You might as well ask yourself why Airbus doesn't replace the four jet engines with anti-gravity generators and use the small auxiliary power unit in the tail for propulsion.

@cpengwin You never flew on the A340? That was equally a delight. Very quiet. Also four-engined, so not viable.
