@MMMichaelTTT You should visit a library and or a bookstore in the *Philippines. You'll find row upon row of books about their struggle for independence and their martyrs, brutally executed by their occupiers. In case you don't know who these occupiers were, that's both Spain and the USA. That the Brits and their Commonwealth co-members get along splendidly nowadays doesn't absolve the Brits of their colonial crimes. Like the US with regard to the Philippines, they're still making amends.
