  4. Finland punches above its weight militarily. The rough terrain isn't conducive to mechanised warfare, meaning an invader (read: Russia) will struggle to leverage its numerical and material superiority. The Soviet Union learned that bitter lesson in the Winter War, losing whole divisions in the dense Finnish forests. Many European countries shamefully neglected their defence when the Cold War ended, but not Finland.

  10.  @StanleyKowalski.  I know my history. The Dutch provinces of North and South Holland weren't up to anything genocidal in Africa. If you had written Germany and Namibia or the Netherlands and present-day Indonesia, it would be a different matter. Your history teacher would give you an F.
