Actually, Britain is akin to the US. The archaic first-past-the-post electoral systems favours the big parties, the Tories and Labour. We're still talking de facto duopoly.

@Carewolf Right, but PMs still resign regardless of whether they suffer an electoral defeat or lose the confidence of their own party or that of the House of Commons. Not that they have a choice, of course.

@КамранАли You're jumping to conclusions -- I'm not British. I was just looking out for what's best for you. If Truss dealt the UK economy a body blow, Putin has dealt the Russian economy a death blow. All the more reason to put the rubbish out in Russia as well.

@КамранАли That's not a very intelligent response. I could live on the dark side of the moon and still tell that if an economy alienates its best customers and fails to compensate for it by drumming up new business in equal measure, it's headed off a cliff.
