It's not a competition. It's widely known that the Poles have plenty of guts, something the Finns don't need to teach you. If a Pole and a Finn decided to compete over who can sit the longest on an ant nest, bare-bummed, the competition would go undecided, because the ants would abandon their nest.

@Thomas.Deverell It appears Russia struggles with geography. Its military keeps spilling over its own borders. Non-NATO borders, that is. NATO does a sterling job demarkating its members' borders in a manner that even dense Russia understands.

@calanmacleod3948 Actually, it was the Finns themselves who said jump. The politicians wanted to debate Finland's NATO membership at length, but eventually they grew anxious of voter backlash if they dragged their feet some more. The US of A wisely kept quiet during all of this, because it wouldn't have added any value -- on the contrary, even. Can I ask a personal question? Is Soviet-style historical revisionism a hobby of yours, or something more serious?
