Yeah, a full withdrawal from Ukraine shouldn't be long in coming.

No worries, Russia accepted defeat in the First Chechen War. WW1, same difference. We're not breaking new ground here.

@ulpl8007 Look at it this way: Belarus lost its sovereignty without firing a shot, becoming a colony of a neo-imperialist Russia, while Ukraine fights bravely -- and successfully -- to retain its sovereignty. Nothing good can come out of this for Belarus -- or Russia for that matter -- but for Ukraine, things can only get better.

@bojanm986 Ukraine stealing Ukrainian land? That's a contradiction in terms.

@wolfswinkel8906 Russia was defeated by tribesmen in sandals. Sounds familiar?

@wolfswinkel8906 Oh dear, how forgetful you are. You claimed that "Russia cannot be defeated". I showed that Russia was defeated by tribesmen is sandals. With your analogy, you're lending credence to my point. Russia can and has been defeated. Should we delve into the First Chechen War, too? Or WW1?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Germany vs. Russia 1-1?

@dustywoood The Kremlin is where you should direct your complaints.

@ulpl8007 Russia is still very much struggling to subdue Ukraine, and you can't blame Russia for pulling its punches. In other words, Ukraine is succeeding in holding the fort. Or did you think Ukraine was trying to take Moscow?

@ayushkumar-bg1xf Yup, and if we're doing whatabouting, let's whatabout about India's lost wars. The Sino-Indian War comes to mind.

@myspace1876 You got the reference! And they say you bots don't have a brain on you!

@wolfswinkel8906 Russia was by far the most dominant of the Soviet republics, and Russia calls itself the successor state to the Soviet Union. Russia managed to land the USSR's permanent seat in the UN Security Council, too. We could reassess, of course, if it was justified. Do a web search for "list of wars involving Russia" and pay close attention to the 'Result' column. Plenty of red ink to mark defeats. I don't think you have your nose in history books much, but Chechnya was de facto independent after the First Chechen War. Rightfully, it's marked as a Russian defeat. The historical revisionism is all yours.

@peterrezac881 It says enough that a whopping 72% of a typically fractitious UN General Assembly condemned Russia for invading Ukraine and called for an immediate withdrawal. A measly 3% begged to differ, believing that Russia had a case. The world has spoken.

@bojanm986 How come the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission failed to spot anything suggestive of "ethnic cleansing" by Ukraine in the Donbas? I know, it's because the Russian Ministry of Disinformation invented the whole thing. And you regurgitate their lies.

At the same time, Russia claims NATO represents an existential threat to it. Which is it, existential threat or clown show?

@wolfswinkel8906 What a flaccid response. Stalin was Georgian, but the Russians all bowed to him like to a demi-god. Did that make Georgia all-powerful? No, Stalin couldn't care less about his birth country, just as long as it bowed to him. When Russia inevitably loses the war in Ukraine, will you try to make the excuse that since the soldiers of the Russian Federation were mostly ethnic non-Russians drawn from oblasts and republics that have since seperated from Russia, Russia didn't lose the war after all? I think so. Beggars can't be choosers, after all.

@nightizzat4574 It's pointless to use *nukes, period. Only fanboys are impressed with 'em.
