Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "Why Germany is resuming arms exports to Saudi Arabia | DW News" video.
Chinese and Russian missiles don't fit Saudi jets. NK doesn't know how to make air-launched missiles.

The US supplies 78% of Saudi arms, wisenheimer.

It's a not perfect world, but Turkey would use the weapons offensively against the Kurds. Saudi Arabia uses them defensively against the Houthis' Iran-supplied missiles. Try to get your head around that one.
3
German cooperation comes with an infusion of morality, which is an area where France is lacking when it comes to arms exports.

@rouz0 The German arms industry is firing on all cylinders, silly.

Is a matter of picking the lesser of two evils. Countering Iran is of overriding importance here. Can't argue with that logic.
2
@manmanman2000 For your info, Nord Stream 1 and 2 were inoperational. Russia just gave them a coup de grĂ¢ce, in the hope of scoring some pity points.
2
Rather, they hate Iran's mad theocrats.

You can't picture someone walking and chewing gum at the same time?

Germany needs to do its bit to put a stop to Iran's proxy wars.

@rouz0 Try to keep up with the news. Iran's puppets, the Houthis, are launching drones and missiles to disrupt Red Sea shipping. The IRIS-T knocks both out of the air. The UN Security Council just adopted a resolution that calls for a stop to the Houthi attacks. Countering Iran's aggression with German weapons thousands of kilometres from Gaza doesn't worsen -- or improve, for that matter -- the plight of the Gazans. You're spreading cheap conspiracy theories.

So, Iran should be given free rein in destabilising the region?

@mightyeagle4314 Germany sets strict conditions for re-exports. To give you an idea, there was interesting case when Estonia wanted to gift Soviet-made D-30 howitzers to Ukraine. Estonia had acquired them from Finland, which had bought them from Germany. Germany had inherited them from East Germany, which had purchased them from the Soviet Union. Estonia needed permission from both Germany and Finland before handing the howitzers over to Ukraine.

@Summer-tv7rz It's not a pro-Israel move -- it's a contra-Iran move. Keep up with the news.

I'm sorry if I'm poking holes in your conspiracy theory, but don't you think the USA would rather sell its own kit to the Saudis? Germany doesn't make anything the US can't supply. The US military-industrial complex holds a lot of political sway -- they're not keen on missing out on business.

Kids say the darndest things.

@johndoe-cd9vt Germany's arms industry is firing on all cylinders. They're breaking record after record. Incidentally, the US is their second-best customer. Your precious M1 Abrams MBT wouldn't shoot or drive without German tech.

@luci75d76 Your Saint Petersburg troll factory is with Ukraine? Nice to know.
