I saw it with my own eyes in Kosovo, while trying to keep the Kosovars from exacting revenge on the Serbs. It was like mopping the floor with the water running.

  7.  @gencoglu  You said it yourself. These cycles will never end. A self-fulfilling prophecy. Since you brought it up, the EU is a prime example of a peace project gone right. Germany and France were once sworn enemies. Now they're the best of friends. NATO, too, deserves credit for making world wars a thing of the past. Also, without it, Azerbaijan would still be a Soviet republic.

And an often-fractious EU-27 sailed through the Brexit negotiations as through a storm in a teacup, which it was, an English teacup. So, what's going to bring about the demise of the EU? We should make you pay a euro for every time you predict the end of the EU. We would be richer still.
