Trade-wise, the world is China's oyster. Russia, on the other hand, is trapped inside China's oyster. If that's your idea of friendship, poor you.

  12. But more to the point, does it answer Indian prayers? Rather, an ever-jealous China will demand that a very-dependent Russia alignes itself more with China at the expense of India. India, especially in terms of arms procurement, will have to turn to the West. Western arms, American ones in particular, come at a price, so inevitably India will be drawn closer to the West.
