Comments by "peabase" (@peabase) on "Putin’s fear sparks Germany vs Poland, Finland fight over Leopard tanks for Ukraine | ‘Illegal’" video.
This tired cliché has been making the rounds since 1918.

They eat your holy cows like there's no tomorrow.

@remix-yy1hs There are 3,600 Leopard 2s roaming wild, most of them within Europe.

@dornierdo2172 On the way in or on the way out?
1
@dornierdo2172 The Nazis made rapid progress on their way in. You're not very good at arguing your case.

@dornierdo2172 Supply lines wouldn't have gotten any shorter with a slower advance, and Ukrainian winter would've set in no matter what. It's funny that you think it somehow follows that Russia is going to win in Ukraine. But then again, Z bots aren't the brightest candles in church.
1
@dornierdo2172 Aw, you got yourself shadow-banned. Your puerile ad hominems did it, no doubt.

OK, Putin fanboy. Russia would have trouble taking on the Salvation Army at this juncture. Unlike Germany, Poland and Finland never let their guard down after the USSR collapsed. Both have been bolstering their defences. Both field ex-Bundeswehr Leopard 2s, which, thanks to their foresight, can now be made available to Ukraine.

Don't be a drama queen. Your little news bite applies to Rheinmetall's hoard of second-hand Leopards, which they're looking to fix up and sell. 22 Leopard 2s, I gather, which pales in comparison to the total of 3,600 that are around. Besides, the Leopard's manufacturer is KMW, not Rheinmetall. You could just as well freak out about Israel's IMI not being able to refurbish Leo 2s before 2024.

Play with blocks, not with portmanteaus.

@richardcowling7381 Besides ground pressure, there's power to weight ratio. The Leopard 2 produces more hps per ton than Russia's best operational MBT, the T-90.

I've heard assertions of pigs flying, but not Leopards. I don't think they need to be shot down. Maybe T-72 turrets for sport, if you're out of clay pigeons.

@1976athletico You're misrepresenting facts. Germany promised to refrain from establishing NATO bases in former East Germany. Germany has complied to the letter. In case you haven't noticed, it's Russia that looked for war and found it.
1
@1976athletico Unlike you, I'm upholding the truth. What's untrue about the following: "After Gorbachev's May [1990] agreement on German NATO membership, the Soviets further agreed that Germany would be treated as an ordinary NATO country, with the exception that former East German territory would not have foreign NATO troops or nuclear weapons. In exchange, Kohl agreed to reduce the sizes of the militaries of both West and East Germany, renounce weapons of mass destruction, and accept the postwar Oder–Neisse line as Germany's eastern border." We're witnessing not us, but Russia getting cooked -- in its own stew.

Puh-lease, this was already true in 1942, when the Bazooka entered service, yet tanks have trundled on.

You know whom to ask, right? Starts with a P and ends with an N.

@thomervin7450 You're recounting Russia's bitter experience in Ukraine, which is the result of Russia's inability to conduct combined operations. In order to survive the modern battlefield, tanks must protect other elements and vice versa. The Ukrainians won't be so daft as to send in their tanks on their own.
