  1. Your then-Russia was in fact the Soviet Union, a communist country. Russia is the opposite, a crony capitalist country if there ever was one. Besides, Russia was and is guilty of imperialism to a degree that only a few now-Western countries ever were. The latter have long-since decolonised -- independent India and Pakistan are cases in point -- whereas Russia holds on to its conquests tooth and nail, and even tries to grow its colonial empire further. You're off your rocker if you think Russia is morally superior to "the West" in any respect.
