  1. +Nik G All that may be true, but the UK can't remain in limbo for long. Investors eschew uncertainty. They may not pull out in droves, but British businesses will find it harder to raise money. Competitiveness will suffer and growth opportunities can't be seized. British indecisiveness won't exactly be a blessing for the EU as a whole either, but as in any game, there are always winners. German and French language courses anyone?

  2. Nik G To be perfectly honest, similar political fault lines exist all over Europe. Globalisation and immigration put pressures on our traditional way of life. Populists across the continent see their chance. But judging from how poorly Brexit is unfolding, perhaps we can soon thank the Brits for a valuable lesson.
