There's an interesting legal avenue for that. Russia's permanent UNSC membership was never properly ratified. The UN Charter was never amended, it still speaks of the Soviet Union. No mention of Russia.

I'm sure President Navalny wouldn't have a problem with it, because he'd be the one who extradited Putin. As always, the Russian people would just go with the flow.

This Willy Wonka equates to 123 countries acting on said arrest warrant in case Putin sets foot on their soil.

Jason Voorhees All of them lack jurisdiction in Russia, just like Russia lacks jurisdiction in their countries. That's why I specifically wrote "in case Putin sets foot on their soil." Savvy?

@herbh7893 Blackmail entails a threat of revealing damaging information. What's Serbia done this time?

I'm confused. Russia has started wars in Transnistria, Abkhazia and Ossetia. It seems Russia has no intention to end them. They don't call them frozen conflicts for nothing.

@justiceandfreedom5773 Yeah, the UK president, that's a real meanie!

It depends on whoever decides to print out the PDF. This is the Information Age, sport.

I'm sure President Navalny will be only too glad to extradite him.

Oh, but Russia did sign the Rome Statute that established the ICC, only for Putin to withdraw Russia's signature when he'd gone over to the dark side. It's a no-brainer for an international criminal.

I suppose that if a BRICS summit is ever held in Brazil or South Africa, Putin will have to join over Zoom. Who'll blame him -- I hear the prisons over there aren't particularly nice.

@throbbingfellow1136 It's hardly meaningless. Putin suddenly can't go to 123 countries, or he'll face arrest. For example, if BRICS organises a summit in South Africa or Brazil, Putin will be clapped in irons if he attends.
