@johnh.tuomala4379 The Finnish nickname for the DP-27 stems from a Finnish folk song by that name. It was recorded many time overs, so practically all those with a record player had the record. Ian's video brings back memories from NCO school, where we took them apart and put them together again, time and again. I hope those in storage weren't as worn-out.

@johnh.tuomala4379 Jaeger is the accepted English spelling. I served with coastal jaegers in Lebanon. They weren't very popular with the rest of us because of their punishing marches. And I thought myself fit before my deployment.

@johnh.tuomala4379 I believe it is. I thought you had a Finnish surname. I've got American relatives in Seattle and Tacoma. My grandfather was an emigrant as well, but he returned to take over the family farm.
