Being too preoccupied with one's historic success prevents one from looking forward. Mind you, France suffers from the same ailment, but I think you've got it worse than them.

  3.  @marcuskingstanley9522  It's not borne out by international rankings, I'm afraid. Take your pick: democracy index, human development index, economic freedom, press freedom, corruption perception, happiness... the UK isn't doing badly, but you're not topping anything.

  4.  @marcuskingstanley9522  You've heard of googling, right? Norway tops both the Democracy Index and Press Freedom Index. You'll find the Norwegians are enviably close to the top spots in other indexes as well. We should be singing their praises, not yours.

Over to you -- produce one where Britain outscores everyone else. You sound like Trump and his MAGA. Incidentally, Britain went from top performing European economy before Brexit to the worst one after.
