@truefact4439 Not so true a fact, I'm afraid. Sweden did colonise Finland in the Middle ages, mostly the western seaboard and southern coastal areas. It's just part of the genetic and cultural make-up of Finland. Up north, in Lapland, many have Sámi genes, and in the eastern parts of the country, there's an infusion of Slavic genes. In Ostrobothnia, where my family hails from, we don't take kindly to being called Swedes, although DNA-wise that's 40% accurate in my case.
