Maybe some of the people who claim to see auras are just people who can see down into infrared or up into ultraviolet. Of course, things like "Yellow" or "Green" or "Blue" or "Red" auras may be nothing of the sort, and just how their brains interpret those infra- and ultra-wavelengths. I don't think there's any real reason to think that ultraviolet is really some variation on "violet" or "blue." It's a color we really don't have any idea of how to describe, because we just can't see it. Certainly the rest of us just make up shit and call it "infra-red" but what the hell does THAT look like? We (most of us) don't really know. I think that might explain at least some what people think of as "extra-sensory perception." Maybe your nose just needs one molecule to pick up the smell of a corpse, and so you're the "psychic" who senses "death" in some old house, or something. We KNOW that some critters see clear down into the infrared, and I think some creatures actually put out specific ultraviolet "colors" for camouflage or sending signals to prospective mates or warning to prospective predators. It stands to reason that some humans see either above or below what the rest of us consider "visible" and it can probably give them info that we don't pick up on.
