Women have always been the keepers of the keys. I'd add women in their 60s, 70s and 80s! The only way I would do birthday and holiday cards is if the wife did it. One of the bad things about bachelorhood is my social ain't what it oughta be.

I still share things and stick my nose in on FB, now and then. But I finally got my fill, like I did with video games before they came out with the stuff they have, nowadays. The 1st Wolfenstein on a Windows 3.x with a tiny cathode ray tube monitor is as far as I ever went. I will always keep a toe in FB, though, because it's where I got re-acquainted with some of the kids I grew up with, and where the connection still is. I wonder if I'll be draw back in as elections draw nearer.

This is what I wanted to happen. No gummint interference needed or wanted. People get tired of bad practices and quit using the platform.

On a historical time scale, we've had access to these technologies for only a very brief time. And we're evolving very rapidly. The narcissism and gullibility were always there. They just weren't on display for derision or exploitation. It's been noisy, but I think a lot of people learned a lot of stuff they otherwise wouldn't have. People are pretty savvy. They see what's working and what isn't.
