  2. Did it ever occur to you that all this religious jazz and reincarnation, etc., is just grabbing at straws? We have zero evidence that the afterlife is anything more than wishful thinking. Did it ever occur to you that acting for the betterment of self and society in the absence of religion is as big an act of faith as believing in some mythical afterlife and behaving yourself for the Big Payoff at the end? I think this is where the atheists get it wrong. At least the Christians understand Pascal's Wager.
