Being the dominant currency - all oil sales, internationally, are made in U.S. dollars. That's why we're in a cold war with China and Russia: They're trying to get a gold-backed currency to compete with the U.S. dollar, which, sad to say, is a much better idea than what the U.S. government is pushing. The minute oil starts being sold in other currencies, that's when real inflation will strike the U.S.

He came roaring out of the gate with the spending. If the administration were more clever, they'd've held off on the big spending until late '23 and into '24, when they could claim that the economic growth was their doing, and people might've bought it. I think COVID gave them a sense of unlimited power and control. They thought they could do anything they wanted. They thought the spending would keep Democrats in power, forever. But it's backfiring.
