I think Zelensky's always playing the main chance. He's always had the press behind him. He's always had the U.S. Government behind him. He's always had the oligarchs behind him. He says what they all wanted and they gave him money, praise, and weapons. No one in the establishment and most of the people just blindly started waving Ukrainian flags, without once considering the history that went into the SMO or the basic strategic situation as it was. We simply don't have the conventional means to defeat the Russians in their own back yard. This was clear at the start. It was made even MORE clear by the mere trickle of armaments supplied by the combined contributions of Europe and NATO, to great fanfare I might add (in Styxian tones).
