  1. Reagan was still saddling and riding his own horse until after he left office. He fell off a bucking horse in Mexico in the fall of 1989, 8 months after he left office. That was what ended his riding days. Reagan was clearly in SOME decline, but he was never that good at technocrat questions, about the minutiae of big government. He still had a clear view of the big picture, and his over-arching philosophy. Biden's case is much worse, because of all the lies he told over the course of his absolutely dishonest career as a demagogue. It takes a lot of extra energy to keep track of all the lies you told in the past when crafting lies in the present.

  2. The DOJ already gave him a pass on the mishandling-of-documents case, because of his senility. This is a win-win for Biden. At worst, he has to retire a rich man.
