  1. Existential angst hit me way young, gazing into the abyss and "knowing" it was looking back - and laughing at me - before I ever heard of Nietzche. My parents slapped a Jesus band-aid on it, which was good in some ways, but I didn't fully recover until my 20s, assuming I ever did. I think we need archetypes to guide us, for maximum mental health and benefit to ourselves and posterity, but I'm not built to believe as my immediate ancestors, assuming they believed the way they claimed.
