  1. Nah. Ya gotta turn the question around: What's the probability that this would never happen? All the critters yearning for Master/Mistress NEVER lucking into the same town/neighborhood? Now, think of all the millions of times critters get separated from their families. Of those, doesn't it seem likely some of the new owners move close by to the previous owners? Even if the probability is vanishingly small, we're talking about rolling those dice over a million times. Needless to say, every time it does happen, it gets reported. The probability of winning the lottery is vanishingly small, yet someone always wins. In a room of 30 people, you'd be amazed at how high the probability is that two have the same birthday. It's because making sure all birthdays are different is actually a big job!
