  1. Growing up in the '60s and '70s, youthful rebellion was directed against a conservative, stick-in-the-mud establishment. Now my generation is the establishment, and we're making the same mistakes our forebears made, against which Gen Z and to a lesser extent Gen X (and Y) are rebelling against stick-in-the-mud neoliberals, who act like the worst kind of regressive reactionaries of the '60s and '70s.
