  1.  @theJellyjoker  : Refugees from the Soviet Union found American grocery stores very stressful. In the USSR, you waited in line for the one kind of bread they made. In the USA, you had to decide between 10 or 20 different brands. Decision paralysis.

Collectivization of agriculture drove out virtually all the successful farmers (Kulacks). Something like 10% of Russians were producing upwards of 50% of the food. But those bastards were too rich to suit the Bolsheviks, so they took their property and Gulag-ed most of them. Killed a lot of them, outright. Bernie thinks that's good.
