  3. If you get or build the right wood stove, the emissions are not at all noticeable by neighbors. Get yourself a secondary-combustion chamber or build a J-Tube rocket stove with a mass heater system, and you'll never even put off any visible or "smell-able" smoke. I like the mass heat designs, because you only have to have a fire going for 45 minutes or an hour in the morning.

  4. I think that's why the EPA refuses to set standards for RMH or other new ways of heating. You can do it and you can get away with it, but if you draw notice to yourself, it's something they can go after you for. By refusing to set standards, the EPA guarantees that you will have a really tough time getting homeowners insurance or making any kind of insurance claims, because you will have a heating system that's not "approved," even though it's not "disapproved," either. Basically, every good green idea is discouraged by the government. They have their one solution that maximizes their power and the wealth of their cronies and "global warming" and "air pollution" are just slogans to control the masses.
