  2. The thing about Svetnick's claims is not that they were walked back, but that the meme was successfully planted in the minds of low-info voters, there to stubbornly remain. When he casts his first vote, you'll hear all that shit dredged up. "Of course, the fuckin' rapist voted the way he did."

  3. I disagree. The Democrats are shameless about pivoting to a new argument, a new set of goalposts, and they will act as though the character assassination never took place. They'll just find somebody else to tear down, and act all righteous about it.
