  4. The same lies used then work now. People VOTE for government to provide health and education and then go along with whatever government says. We learned NOTHING from the failed socialism of Hitler, Stalin and Mao. This is where gentle, democratic socialism will always lead. It's inevitable.

  5. They use a deeply-embedded altruism that pre-dates the formation of Germany and Austria as nations. People gain status by sacrificing for the greater good. Goes all the way back to Northern tribes, where young hunters shared with the entire village. You were measured by what you GAVE to the society, much like tribal societies of North America. There's much good, there, but also great dangers. If everybody's about "doing your duty," your entire nation is hostage to how a handful of psychopaths who seek power define as "your duty."

  6. The minute you have a church with a church hierarchy, you get politics. It's inevitable. The only "pure" churches are lay churches, where people gather withOUT a designated "leader" or "pastor." The dominant churches of the past, present and future, are political, by definition. That's the only way they can grow and persist over large spans of time and space. This has been true since St. Peter was running the show!
