  1. Of COURSE this comes down from on high. What's shocking and disappointing is the eagerness with which the rank and file embraced it. We see the same thing in the USA, with known violent criminals go uninvestigated, but there's always 20 or 30 cops to come shut down your business during COVID, or a horde of FBI agents investigating Catholics for going to church on Sunday.
