Modern nations of the West still bring up the Nazis as the Great Satan, even as they emulate the Nazis in almost every regard, from state-run media and medicine, to arresting people for dissenting views. The BBC isn't something you fix with better standards or better people. It can only be fixed by getting government out of the business, entirely. I remember laughing at how heavy-handed and crude the propaganda of Goebbels was. Seeing this nonsense replicated so un-self-consciously by people who should know better is also funny, except now I'm on the inside, and I find my fellow citizens are just as gullible to shallow, insane propagandizing as any German in the 1930s.
