When all the models predicting catastrophic climate change deny the cooling that took place from the early 20th Century to the late 1970s, I stop trusting the models. Every single study cited by the climate alarmists fails to predict current temperatures if you apply it to a starting point in the early 1900s and project forward. All those models, based on CO2 as main culprit, predict that the entire world should be in flames by now. If you want grant money for climate research, just predict as much gloom and doom as possible, and grants just roll in. If you say "global warming appears to be occurring at about the same rate as it has been since the end of the last ice age" you will be truthful, but you will also be broke.

@raph151515 Also bad forest management. They put out every fire they can and so the dead undergrowth builds and builds and builds until a catastrophic fire is pretty much inevitable.
