Gen Z is taught that "runaway capitalism" is evil and socialism is good, because they don't understand that all of the evils of what THEY call "capitalism" is actually "crony capitalism," which is what you get every time you invite the national government to regulate or operate ANY sector of the economy. The government tries not to destroy industry, so it places rules and limits on its intervention, and therein lies the devil. Whom does the government ask for advice on how not to destroy capitalism with its socialist intervention? It asks "industry experts," and those "experts" insert language that preserves the big corporation influencing the rule-making. They don't have to answer to the public, because they're 100% in compliance with government regulations. In a free market, you get up to no good, all it takes is one whistleblower and the public stops buying your products. In a fascist/crony-capitalism market, you don't really have a market. The public is given no choice as to who provides the service or product. Then it gets harder and harder for young people to get ahead. Opportunities flee. Costs grow. The only people really benefiting are government officials and the companies that interfere the most with the government process (legislation and regulation writing). Yes, the game is fixed. No, it's not capitalism's fault.
