@classics39 It's socialism, not consumerism that's causing this. We give authority and responsibility to government that we shouldn't, and then we gnash our teeth in vain, when the government inevitably does a terrible job, without the resources to solve problems ourselves because the government dumbed us down and taxed our excess income, so we don't have that excess to spend on things that would help.
