  1. Making illegal immigrants into soldiers creates a situation like the old Soviet Union. Such a big country, and the dialects spoken in the various republics are so foreign, a Moscovite may not be able to understand a Siberian. This is very good when you want to weaponize your military against your own people. If the soldiers don't identify in any way with the people they're oppressing, oppression works a whole lot better. The establishment's "Other"ing of half the country looks like they're aiming at some sort of civil war scenario, where U.S. troops will be used against U.S. citizens.
