NOBODY seems to know the history of 1918-1948. The British promised a Palestinian homeland to secure military support from Arabs against the Ottoman Empire, which sided with the Kaiser in WW I. Then they reneged and re-created the Jewish state in 1948. By force. And never looked back. There was no state of Israel for centuries before that. They lost out to the competing Abrahamic religion of the region, Islam. I'm not speaking for Islam. I'm speaking for the indigenous people of the region (loosely "Palestine") who were genocided to make Christians feel good about their religion and (sigh) bring about the prophecies! Woo-Hoo! Armageddon, here we come!

Jimmy's still a socialist. He speaks some truth, but he's deluded about the nature of government. Jimmy thinks the world would be perfect, if only all government officials were genius-saints. None of them are. And it only takes one bad apple to visit harm on ALL of us.
