  1. People with skills and a good work ethic are in short supply. For jobs that pay MORE than piddly-ass minimum wage. The minimum wage is a barrier to learning those skills and learning that work ethic. Your economics is all well-intentioned voodoo.

  2. You guys bitch all day about the use of force, abroad, and turn a blind eye to dictating wages, at home. The government - I guarantee - only mucks things up, abroad AND here. LET that kid earn $5 for sweeping up in front of the old woman's store. LET that homeless person set up a cop in the back of the store and work for room and board. WTF is wrong with that? Maybe when all your restaurants close, or charge you $50 for a napkin and a glass of water, you'll wake up.
