  1. Can't recommend this enough. Google and YouTube would LOVE to be classified as utilities, and be regulated by the FCC. That would cement their position on top. The only way we're going to get the business models that work best is by letting the free market sort things out. Let them go overboard and let another company with more sense compete with them. It'll happen. People just need to quit getting butthurt about inconsequential matters and focus on stuff that's actually important.

You did not give a rat's ass about children being separated from families until mass media decided it had an issue that would further injure Donald Trump. And you immediately, unhesitatingly jump on the band wagon. When your talking points are ripped from the headlines and you show no long-term OR short-term memory regarding the talking points from the week before, I conclude you're an uncritical consumer of corporate news. You're just waiting for the next thing to be butt-hurt about. You'll scream for a week. Then you'll forget what you were screaming about, because Rachel Maddow or Jim Acosta decide to rile you up about something new. This is the definition of knee-jerk liberal.   5. It's an interesting tension. Google can't shut down this and other conversations, yet. If they did, their platform would collapse. So they're pecking around the edges, to keep corporate masters happy, but they can't keep the platform going and at the same time control speech. It's got to be a little bit frustrating for them.

  10. The British had long association with various tribes and were encouraging them to fight on their side. Typical stuff. Look up French and Indian War. Natives were split and fought on both sides. The process of fighting those wars cost Britain a lot of money. That was why they placed taxes on tea and other items. That was why the Boston Tea Party, and the American Revolution. If racism buried in our past is present in historical documents, I guess that means we should forget history. Profound declaration for humanity against monarchy, paving the way for self governance.
