  1. It's about who has power and control, and in that contest, one is much like the other. I don't see any way out of it, because the only kind of leader who can help us out of this mess is a Javier Milei sort of figure, whose first and every act is about giving that power back to the people. We need someone in power who despises centralized power. Since 1800, everyone elected to office has attempted to expand the powers of that office. Everyone appointed to a position has sought to expand the powers of that position. And they got cheered for it. Remember, kids: The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

  2. If they get their spending bill through, they can stimulate the economy, temporarily, and, with printed money, make it seem as if things are going well, even though inflation will eat us all alive, afterward.
