  2. And the oligarchy is the result of governmental overreach. We, the people, would keep corporations in check, just fine, if only the corporations didn't get the u.s. government to interfere with everything, so they could re-write the rule sets to favor corporations. Capitalism isn't the problem. Government intervention in the economy is the problem. Corporations would much rather bow to government edicts it controls than be answerable to their actual customers. When we don't like something, now, the corporations tell us "It's the law. It's the regulation. You won't find anything better anywhere else, so you must buy from US."
