  2. You see this and still want the government to run poverty programs. What they are is in the name: programs that promote poverty. It's a grift. And even YOU can see it, Jimmy, in this case. Multiply that thinking and that temptation across all city, county, state, and federal agencies, and that's why things get worse the more money we give to politicians to fix them. In the end, the community is no better than your individual willingness to help people.
