  8.  @glowingsme7943  The food on the shelves is less nutritious than it was 50 years ago. It doesn't taste as good, either. Tomatoes from the garden are much better than the ones in the store. Broccoli at the store has less than half the minerals it did when I was a boy. Apart from GMO foods, chemical farming is just not sustainable in the long run.

  10. Did you know that some pesticides work by making male bugs sterile? Just spitballing, here, but one wonders about the food and falling sperm counts. In any case, the thing about artificially pest-resistant foods is that the pesticide is put IN the food instead of being sprayed on it, and they want those foods to be deemed "organic." Are they safe? Maybe you don't know it's making you sick for many years. Maybe you do everything right and still get cancer. I've heard stories about farmers next to Monsanto fields being sued for copyright because pollen from GMO corn drifted across the property line. Sounds farfetched, but...

  12.  Christopher Huber  Those agencies have all been captured by the very industries they are meant to regulate. A few million in a handful of bank accounts, a couple sweet do-nothing jobs after government service or for their kids, and the company can make BILLIONS. The government doesn't protect us. It protects government and grows government, like a cancer.
