  1. I'd much rather try compromising with honest progressives on Med4All than let Dems and Republicans make a hash of it. As a libertarian, I'd still be OK with basic checkups and preventive care for all. And then I'd argue for it to be administered by local communities and FUNDED by local communities, and limit the federal role, because they always end up corrupting everything and trying to mico-manage a huge, diverse nation from one central location. If progressivism is grassroots, then progressives need to do more work in their local communities rather than always scream for the feds to come in and trample everybody. May even find out that your community hospitals and shelters are better than the crap the feds are going to provide without actually paying for. Most progressives would pitch in, locally, if you put it to 'em that way. But always focusing on Washington as the sun source of all that is good and kind is a recipe for endless disaster. I wish we could have these arguments, rather than having to fight the military-industrial complex run by Dems and Repubs all the time.
