  1. A big reason why there's resistance to change in the top echelons of our government is because any kind of change is an admission that everything that went before was a lie, and the people perpetrating the lie are either malevolent, incompetent, or both.

  2. It's mutual. It's the British Empire, by other means. The corruption goes both ways. Israel has acted on our behalf and we've covered for them. We've acted on Israel's behalf. It's too bad they hounded Trump out of office. I think the Abraham Accords were a pretty good compromise, and a path to long-term peace. A lot of what I don't like about Islam goes back to how the nations in the Middle East were treated like British minions, and, since WW II, like U.S. minions. Same for the continent of Africa. We always have a good excuse, but the net effect is terrible.
