  1. I think the solution to school shootings is TIME. Parents are going to vote with their feet, and quit sending them to broken schools, to be victimized by teachers pushing politics, bullies in the halls and crazed shooters who love the fact that we herd kids into tight confined spaces, with no protectors.

  2. They can definitely fix it with good security. But good security is an added cost, in an education paradigm fraught with an unchecked upward spiral of cost. Every government mandate creates new hires of people who do nothing but comply with mandates, and waste teachers' time with ridiculous training requirements. I have to perform annual FERPA and TITLE IX trainings, so my institution remains compliant with Obama's mandates. There're 2 separate crews for each that've been grafted onto the institution, and their only purpose is to demonstrate to the Feds (Feebs) that the institution is compliant. These new positions have zero to do with providing our product to our customers. In a day when education COULD be virtually FREE, we insist on a 19th-Century paradigm that boils down to free baby-sitting so Mom can work.

  3. And the kicker is that the training is SO BAD, they insist we take the same training every year! LOL! The paradigm will wither and die, because it's behind the times, wasteful, and doesn't even provide the service it purports. Just ask kids BASIC math, science, history questions, during Spring Break in Cabo. Sure, they'll all go home and sympathize with Antifa, but none of 'em could tell you what fascism is, who started it, and what its essential features are.

  4. There's been a sprinkling of conceal-carry faculty in my school for years. No incidents. Still. Hard to argue that out of millions of classrooms, times thousands of guns times 10s of millions of people, that there won't be incidents.
