  1. That's all progressives know how to do. Treat the symptom by feeding the problem. Then there're more problems for them to "solve" for us, and it's never with their OWN fuckin' money. Always somebody else's. True human compassion comes at personal cost, not in a speech designed to garner glory and social-virtue points out of somebody else's pocket and at the expense of someone else's liberty. It's all OK, once it's framed to be in the interest of "The Greater Good." Of course, Progressive definitions of "The Greater Good" change every day, so it's hard to keep track.

  2. So what laws are you going to pass that don't infringe on our rights more than they make us safer? I'm still waiting for laws that make sense, rather than just being knee-jerk reactions to crazy people acting crazy. Those assholes will just start driving into crowds or making bombs. Assaulting the 2nd Amendment does nothing good and a lot of bad. Where're the most shootings taking place? Where you and other shitheads like you think that taking guns out of the hands of the law-abiding in any way impacts criminals, other than to ensure that nobody can stand up to them in a life-or-death situation, with the police only minutes away. Minutes after you die. Where I grew up, all us kids learned about guns and took Hunter's Safety (gun safety) courses in 5th or 6th grade, so we could all fill our first deer tags by age 12. It's not the rest of the country's fault you city slickers can't get along and refrain from killing each other. Blaming the guns is like blaming the vehicle when a drunk driver crosses the center line. You're afraid of people walking around with guns? Shit, I'm more afraid of the people behind the wheel! I think most/all kids should learn firearm safety, and be able to obtain firearms without much formality, PROVIDED THEY'RE TRAINED. That's maybe the only thing the 2nd-Amendmenters could meet you knee-jerk progressives halfway on. I GREW UP in gun culture, and NOBODY got shot! It's not the guns. It's the nihilistic culture that Democrats and Progressives end up imposing with their well-meaning programs that just push us farther and farther away from common sense and common courtesy.

  3. 10 years ago, the greater good was being tolerant and accepting of homosexuals. Now it means gender is a social construct, so that women with penises may more completely dominate women's athletics. Not sure what other "unintended consequence" we'll encounter, next week. Probably see somebody banned from Twitter for posting a video showing vulgar and profane leftist protesters threatening a U.S. Senator for having a conservative opinion on something. Wait.
