  1. Guy can't even define capitalism in the opener. Socialist clap-trap incoming? Free market capitalism is what gave us the prosperity to have the luxury of sitting around thinking about how to fix the world. And as soon as we got to that point, we started trying to figure out how to empower the government to loot excess production, and lead us to excess due to its gluttonous appetite for the skim off the top.

  2. The people are moral and have a sense of right. But they out-sourced the vigilance to government agencies, with flawed individuals at the top. You can't prevent flawed individuals from rising to the top. That's why you shouldn't create these power-concentrating magnets to the powerful and the power-seeking. Your vigilance and charity need to be divorced from the state apparatus. How about 300 million people with smart phones? How's that for calling out the bullshit? That's better than one guy in cahoots with a robber baron deciding what they're looking for and whom they look into.
