  1. The fundamental error was in creating Israel, by force, against all promises made to the indigenous people, in 1948. It's been bad money after good, since 1948. Atrocities on both sides were and are inevitable, as intolerable conditions on the one side, and the imperative to survive as a state on the other side, lead to increasingly violent and atrocious behavior, with outside money pouring in to "help" the people living there kill each other.
