  1. Speaking as a mathematician, there's a big difference between absolute risk and relative risk. That's why they pushed the "relative risk" while leaving out the fact that the absolute risk was TINY. You "doubled" your risk of death from .04% to .08% by foregoing the experimental therapy, with risks of its own that were never mentioned.
